Birthdays, Girlfriends, and Lots of Laughs...

This past Thursday, January 24th, was my 29th birthday. Paul and I were planning a lovely evening out. That is until he got in a car accident and was T-boned in the drivers side. He is sore, but ok, his Blazer is not and we spent the evening in Urgent Care. Our nice birthday evening out will have to wait.

Friday my good good friend Gwen, whom I lived with in Chicago, arrived for our girls weekend. Her Birthday was January 12th and we decided to celebrate together by having a girls weekend here in San Antonio. Friday night we took in the girlie movie "27 Dresses". Saturday we ventured to The La Cantera Westin Spa for a day of pampering followed by quite the adventure down at the Riverwalk. Gwen left me to go home to her wonderful hubbie and adorable son on Sunday.

Gwen also has a blog and documented our time together starting with the first entry she titled "Calling All Moms....Leave Your Children" and wrote "Some moms out there just don't see the enjoyment in leaving their children. Get counseling for that. A little time for yourself is enough to make you actually look forward to changing diapers full of funk." Gwen is quite the talented writer. You can see why we have so much fun together!

The Riverwalk and our Birthday desserts, yes plural. We had to stop at the Chocolate Factory following a scrumptious din-din.








Then on to the novelty story where I got my birthday spanking and we all (yes Paul too) got into some trouble.
